1. Register and log in to your Target Intelligence Account. You’ll need to buy credits to use the service (the minimum initial purchase is 1,000 credits).
  2. Choose 'Gold' from our Services menu
  3. Click “Choose file”. This should be a CSV format file which contains the Postcodes you are interested in. The file should contain Postcodes only, all listed in the first column with one Postcode per line, e.g.
    AB10 1AN
    AB10 1AS
    AB10 1AU
  4. Click upload. The screen will change to display the Postcodes you have uploaded, and which are valid.
  5. Choose the information that you would like to purchase for each Postcode. To do this; click on the + sign next to a category of interest. This will reveal a selection of data items from which you can choose as few or as many as you would like. Once you have made your selection you can repeat the process with as many other categories as you like. The cost is 1 credit per Postcode for 1-25 data items and 2 credits per Postcode for 26-50 data items.
  6. Once you are ready click on Download, and you will receive a CSV file containing every valid Postcode and the data items that you requested.
  7. When you open the file, you will see a list of your Postcodes with the statistics you selected. Where the Stat. value contains a number, the Postcodes with the highest numbers are the ones which have the highest percentage of people or households with that statistic. For example:

     In this example, S651PT has 18% of households with no travel to work, S253QB has 0%, so if you wanted to focus on households with no travel to work, you would focus on S651PT.
